Brenda Dillon Named Director of E-commerce Merchandising for Art Van Furniture

Art Van recently announced that Brenda Dillon has joined Art Van Furniture in the newly created position of director of e-commerce merchandising. The announcement was made by Kim Yost, president and CEO of Art Van Furniture.

Dillon, who possesses vast merchandising experience in the home furnishings industry, will report to Michele Azar, chief digital officer at Art Van Furniture. Dillon’s primary responsibilities are overseeing and directing the purchase and merchandising of all products featured and sold on Art Van Furniture’s website, including products shipped from the company’s warehouse as well as those directly shipped from vendors to clients.

“Brenda is an essential component of Art Van’s expanding e-commerce equation,” said Yost. “We are revamping our e-commerce efforts in 2018, and Brenda’s vast expertise within the furniture industry will be key to reenergizing the guest experience online.”

Previously, Dillon was with Ashley Furniture Industries for the past eight years, serving most recently as vice president of merchandising and product development, where she was responsible for all product development and assortment management for more than 700 stores. Prior to joining Ashley Furniture Industries, she was vice president of merchandising at CR-Home, merchandise manager for Broyhill Furniture Industries and a buyer for May Company.
