Jordan’s Furniture Offers Free Black Panther Screening to Boston Public School Students

Jordan's Furniture reports that it treated students and youth at some local Boston schools to a free screening of the record-breaking Marvel film Black Panther at the Tempurpedic IMAX Theater at Jordan's Furniture in Reading MA. Over 500 students from Michael J Perkins Elementary School, William E Russell Elementary School, Roger Clap Innovation School, Joseph P Tynan Elementary School, and BPS students from 10 Boys Initiative enjoyed the film on Thursday morning March 8th at 10am.

Eliot Tatelman, Jordan's President and CEO, thought it was a no-brainer. "Not only is Black Panther a very popular movie, it also has a great message," Tatelman says. "We wanted to open up the theater and offer the film free of charge for students to come and experience it together."

And the screening was appreciated by Superintendent Tommy Chang, PhD. "This is an example of exactly how the Boston Public Schools benefits from the generosity of our private sector partners," Chang said. "Jordan's Furniture has hit a home run with their offering of exposure to a culturally celebratory blockbuster film. Our students, teachers and school leaders are going to be able to count this at the top of their memorable moments for this school year."

The free Black Panther screening took place  Thursday March 8th at 10am at the Reading MA Jordan's Furniture where their Tempurpedic IMAX Theater is located. In addition to seeing the film for free, the students were also given complimentary popcorn and soda to enjoy during the movie.
