Steinreich Communications Adds to Home Furnishings Team with Addition of Former Furniture Today Editor

Steinreich Communications Group, Inc., which operates a public relations practice serving the home furnishings industry, recently announced that Larry Thomas, one of the industry’s best-known journalists, has joined the firm as content manager. Thomas will work from the firm’s office here. He reports to Vice President Sheila Long O’Mara, who leads the firm’s home furnishings practice.

Thomas has more than four decades of journalism experience, the last 29 years of which have been spent writing about the bedding, case goods and much of the major stories affecting the home furnishings industry.

Most recently, Thomas was senior business editor at Home Furnishings Business. Prior to joining Home Furnishings Business, he spent 27 years writing for Furniture Today working in a variety of roles including news editor, business editor and bedding editor. Before becoming a trade journalist, he was a reporter for the Evansville Courier in Indiana.

In addition to his work in the industry, Thomas is active in his hometown of Archdale, N.C., where he has served as the chairman of the Archdale Planning & Zoning Board for many years, and has chaired numerous American Red Cross blood drives.
