H Contract Announces Winners of Social Media Contest at Environments For Aging Expo

H Contract, provider of upholstered seating and case goods furniture to the senior living, commercial and higher education markets, has announced the winners of its first to-the-trade social media contest, which was held during the recent Environments for Aging Expo and Conference (EFA) in Savannah, Georgia. The contest was part of a strategic social media campaign designed to creatively chronicle its five-year anniversary and to introduce new social media tactics to its marketing strategy to further engage with customers online.

In March, the company initiated a new strategy for its existing social media pages and launched a new Instagram page, increasing the frequency and consistency of its content as well as shifting its focus to include more dynamic and engaging posts. In addition to increasing its follower base, the new strategy has also resulted in an overall increase of likes, shares, comments, mentions and retweets, significantly boosting active engagement on all platforms.

“We saw a tremendous increase in engagement and followers across all of our social media platforms during the month of April,” said Dean Jarrett, vice president and general manager of H Contract. “Our follower base has grown significantly since March and we have increased our reach, especially on Facebook.”

EFA Conference attendees were invited to enter to win exclusive H Contract products by engaging with the company’s contest posts on social media by liking and commenting with the EFA and H Contract social media hashtags, #EFAcon and #HContract. Five winners were randomly selected at the conclusion of the conference to receive a Blythe accent table, valued at $525 retail.

The winners of the contest include: Rachel Bartelsmeyer and Trisha Militello, both with Spellman Brady & Company, Adair Pagnotta with Noelker & Hull Associates, Laura Rodriquez with PC&A Business Environments and Mary Zavardino.

In addition to the contest, a five-year anniversary social media campaign ran throughout the month of April – the month of the H Contract’s first shipments in 2013 – that included a series of fun social media posts using popular and engaging social media terms and hashtags such as ‘On This Day,’ ‘Did You Know’ and ‘Throwback Thursday’ to highlight key milestones throughout the company’s history.
