Tempur Sealy International Names Tom Murray SVP, Marketing

Tempur Sealy International Inc. recently announced the appointment of Tom Murray as Senior Vice President, Marketing. Murray will report to Rick Anderson, Tempur Sealy Executive Vice President, and President, North America.
Murray’s key responsibilities will include developing and executing marketing plans in the U.S. and Canada, establishing and building on the brand positions for the company’s flagship brands, developing long-term product development roadmaps, expanding brand awareness and preference through comprehensive media and public relations strategies, and reviewing new product and category extensions.
“Tom is a seasoned marketing executive with a rich and diverse history with some of the world’s most respected and well-known companies,” said Anderson. “We are excited to have him join the Tempur Sealy team. His experience and vision combined with our portfolio of leading brands will produce world- class marketing plans that help us achieve our vision of improving the sleep of more consumers around the world every night.”
Prior to joining Tempur Sealy, Murray was Senior Vice President, Marketing for ADT Security Services. Previously, he was Senior Vice President, Marketing for TomTom Inc., and Senior Vice President, Marketing for Carbonite, Inc. Prior to that, he held executive marketing positons with Procter & Gamble, The Gillette Company, The White Rain Company and Duracell, USA.

Murray and his wife Tori have been married for 25 years and have three children. He holds a BA from Fairfield University and attended graduate school at the University of Connecticut.
