Market-Goers From New Jersey, Pennsylvania And Deleware Invited To High Point Reception

The Metropolitan Furnishings Association of New Jersey and the Tri-State Home Furnishings Association are hosting a reception for High Point Market attendees to relax, network and enjoy a bite to eat. The social will be held Saturday, April 20, 2002 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the High Point Ballroom B & C, 11th Floor, Green Wing, IHFC. MGM Transport, the premier carrier specializing in furniture transport and logistics, and the IHFC are the event sponsors. Held every High Point Market since 1993, the social has become a favorite of tri-state market-goers. "Our members have told us how much they appreciate the opportunity to catch up with their regional peers at the High Point Market," said Louis Massood, President, Metropolitan Furnishings Association. "A joint social with the two associations is a good venue for us to have some fun, talk about the Market and get to know new people." The social is open to association members and nonmembers alike from New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Deleware. Hors d’oeuvres will be served … perfect as a prelude to dinner or a light meal. A drawing will be held at 7:30 p.m., with prizes of sports memorabilia, sporting event tickets and cash. The Metropolitan Furnishings Association of New Jersey was established in 1941 as a not-for-profit organization designed to foster, promote and protect the interests of those engaged in New Jersey's furnishings industry. The Association has nearly 400 members composed of retailers, representatives, designers, manufacturers, transport and other industry-related services. The Tri-State Home Furnishings Association offers services and information to help promote the home furnishings industry in Eastern Pennsylvania, South New Jersey and Delaware. A not-for-profit organization, the TSHFA has been in existence since 1925 and currently has more than 200 members representing retailers, reps and other home furnishings services of all sizes.
