MBI Software Company, Inc. a leader in information systems for the woodworking industry, announced at the Woodworking Machinery and Supply Expo a strategic alliance with ACCPAC International, a subsidiary of Computer Associates (NYSE: CA). The new alliance will provide mid-market enterprises in the woodworking industry with a seamless data transfer between ACCPAC financial management software tools and MBI Factory Network. This allows many existing ACCPAC clients to stay with their financial management software solution while upgrading their data management at order entry and production. SieMatic Canada L.P. of Kitchener Ontario is the first customer that will benefit from the newly established data exchange of both systems. Mr. Beckermann Executive, Vice President of SieMatic, sees a major advantage in the close co-operation of ACCPAC and MBI in providing small and medium sized enterprises a modular solution that grows with the requirements of its users. Said Beckermann, "Both systems allow an affordable entrance level while granting at the same time the possibility to cover complex multi site and multi financial entities in different companies – this new alliance will have a direct and immediate benefit on our corporate goals." Kevin Hollis, ACCPAC Account Manager in Canada, said "today’s announcement is great news for mid-market woodworking enterprises in the Greater Toronto Area and Ottawa." According to John A. Ferguson of dml systems, an ACCPAC Solution Provider, "MBI’s strategic alliance with ACCPAC is a welcome marriage of two best of breed solutions. The MBI – ACCAPAC data exchange is based on an industry-standard format that will be kept constantly up to date under the maintenance schemes of both products." Michael Grohs, CEO of MBI Software Company, Inc., adds: "With today’s announcement, we are able to provide our customers sustainability of their software investment. MBI is focusing on our core competency – standard software for the typical business processes within the woodworking industries. Partnering with ACCPAC for financial management applications has replaced the missing link in our portfolio of solutions, and we’re now very pleased to offer a complete solution."
