The Unfinished Furniture Association announced the newly elected 2003-2004 board of directors

"I am truly excited about this new board. We have a very experienced nucleus of board members returning this year to compliment the large group of incoming first-year members. The board is focused on building on our successfully launched consumer-targeted national marketing program, Real Wood Furniture Finished Your Way® and our New Store Initiative," said Dave Sommer, the newly elected president of UFA.
In addition to Sommer of Sommer Sales & Marketing from Springfield, VT being elected president, Jack Campbell from Woodcraft Industries, State College, PA, was elected vice president. Finish It!, LTD's Barbara Murphy of Madison, WI was appointed treasurer. The new secretary is Randy Sain from Barewood Furniture, Hendersonville, NC. The past president is Sylvia Thompson of Sonshine Furniture, Aurora, CO.
Aiding the new board are the regional directors. In the southern region, the new retailer board member is Lance Frye, Knock on Wood, Inc. of Woodbridge, VA. The new manufacturer board member is Ramin Gilani, Inwood Furniture Mfg., Forney, TX. And the new sales representative board member is Bobbie Korneder of Kimball and Co., Keego Harbor, MI. The western region has a new manufacturer board member in Larry Moore from Westview Products of Dallas, OR.
Standing regional directors include Pat McNamara, Archbold Furniture Company, West Unity, OH, Michael Nagle, Unpainted Furniture Store, Malvern, PA, and Wendy Nusbaum, Bare Wood House, Finksburg, MD.
UFA is a national trade association of more than 650 retailers, manufacturers and sales representatives in the United Sates and Canada whose mission is to actively support the growth of the unfinished furniture industry and association membership through education and awareness.
