Kincaid Joins AFMA Executive Committee

Steven M. Kincaid, president of Kincaid Furniture Co., Hudson, N.C., has been named to the American Furniture Manufacturers Association (AFMA) Executive Committee as- Se cond Vice President. Kincaid fills the Executive Committee vacancy created by the retirement in March of Fred Schuermann Jr., formerly president and CEO of LADD Furniture. Kincaid Furniture Co., founded by George and J. Wade Kincaid in 1946, now employs 1,400 workers in five plants that manufacture solid wood residential bedroom, dining room, and entertainment furniture. Steven Kincaid (Wade's son) became President and CEO in 1983. In addition to his AFMA post, Kincaid serves as president of the International Home Furnishings Marketing Association, official sponsor of the International Home Furnishings Market in High Point each April and October. He also is a board member for First Union National Bank of Lenoir, the American Furniture Hall of Fame, and the Furniture Foundation.
