North America's Largest Casual Furniture Market Announces Dates Through 2001

The Summer & Casual Furniture Manufacturers Association (SCFMA) announced new dates for the upcoming International Casual Furniture & Accessories Market, the largest casual furniture market in North America, held in Chicago at The Merchandise Mart. The following market dates have been scheduled: September 15-19, 1999 September 13-17, 2000 September 12-16, 2001 These dates were announced at the SCFMA board meeting held on February 6 at the National Association of Casual Furniture Retailers (NACFR) mid-year conference in San Antonio, Texas. These market dates are part of a recently signed five-year agreement with Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc. to produce the International Casual Furniture & Accessories Market in Chicago. The contract began in 1997 and will end in 2001. "Due to the importance of the International Casual Furniture & Accessories Market and the demand by retailers in our marketplace, we have scheduled all future dates in September through the year 2001," said Mike Echoids, President, SCFMA. The International Casual Furniture & Accessories Market is co-sponsored by the SCFMA and the NACFR.
