AFMA Finance Division To Hold Annual Financial Management Seminar

The Finance Division of the American Furniture Manufacturers Association (AFMA) will sponsor a Financial Management Seminar scheduled for September 25, 1997 at the Greensboro/High Point Airport Marriott Hotel. The seminar will run from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and will feature guest speakers from several leading accounting and financial consulting firms. The seminar will highlight a wide range of accounting, taxation and general management topics of interest to furniture executives. Firms participating in the seminar this year include KPMG Peat Marwick, BDO Seidman, Coopers & Lybrand, Deloitte & Touche and Arthur Andersen & Co. The educational program this year will feature the following sessions: Integrated Risk Management and Control, State and Local Tax Planning, Current Federal Tax Update, Overview of 1996 Annual Operating Statistics, U.S. Federal Sentencing Guidelines, The Evolving Technology Environment: New Trends, New Threats; Captive Insurance Companies, Impact of Quality Management Systems in the Furniture Industry and Enterprise Resource Planning Systems.
