Transamerica Distribution Finance Relocates Special Products Group

Transamerica Distribution Finance Corporation (TDF) will be relocating its Special Products Group (SPG), which includes its furniture finance unit, from its current office in Denver, Colorado to offices in Schaumburg, Illinois. TDF is initiating this relocation to enhance customer service and add to the efficiency of the group. Currently the processing department for TDF's Denver office is located in Schaumburg. TDF is moving the group's operations, credit, telesales and other office functions to Schaumburg to bring all of SPG's operations under one roof. The move will take place gradually and be completed prior to the end of 1997. "In all of TDF's units, our goal is to create a system of operations that serves our customers as quickly and efficiently as possible, and to be the low-cost provider in the industry," notes Steve Toeniskoetter, Senior Vice President for TDF. "We believe that this relocation will bring us closer to that goal." Since the beginning of 1996, TDF has been one of the first finance companies to serve its clients on an industry-specific basis. Toeniskoetter notes that "this approach has served us well, with our Special Products Group alone achieving a significant increase in volume year-to-date compared to the same period last year. We expect to enhance this growth in the years ahead."
