Futorian Furnishings Names Senior Merchandising Manager

Futorian Furnishings has named Gene MeGahan to the newly created position of Senior Merchandising Manager of the Stratford/Stratolounger motion furniture line. In his new role, McGahan will oversee merchandising activities including product promotions, cover selection, new product design and line extensions for recliners and motion groups. McGahan joined Futorian Furnishings more than a year ago as a National Accounts Manager. Prior to joining Futorian, he successfully represented multiple furniture lines as an independent sales representative. His extensive furniture experience also includes eight years at Montgomery Ward where he served as the motion furniture buyer. Earlier, he was sales training manager at La-Z-Boy. McGahan will continue to service key accounts while taking on his new role at the company. He also will be involved in developing new business. McGahan reports to Bill Rouse, Vice President of Merchandising for the Stratford/Stratolounger brand. McGahan holds BA degrees in Business, Merchandising and Textiles from Rosary College, and he resides in the Chicago area.
