Philips Teams with Service Lamp To Bring Innovative Display Lighting To Furniture Retailers

Philips Lighting Company, the U.S. - based lighting company affiliated with Royal Philips Electronics announced a distribution partnership with Service Lamp Corporation to improve communication between Philips and the furniture Industry. Philips, a global leader in the lighting industry, has a number of innovative products in the engineering pipeline. “What we like about Service Lamp’s position in the furniture industry is their ability to get direct feedback on innovative products we can offer,” said Ron Schoffelmeer, Northeast Business Zone Manager for Philips Lighting Company. “We believe this partnership and access to furniture industry leaders will enable us to better focus our engineering resources on a unique segment of the retail market.” Service Lamp, headquartered in Voorhees, NJ, is a distributor of lighting products specializing in the furniture industry. Service Lamp is supplier to National Home Furnishings Association, has national accounts with leading furniture manufacturers, and supplies Top 100 retailers and independent furniture stores. “We can quickly bring new Philips technology to furniture retailers without waiting behind other retail segments,” says Monte Lee from Service Lamp’s High Point office, “and being able to put our customers in direct contact with Philips leadership is an important plus.” Service Lamp introduced the new Philips halogen infrared line at the High Point market in April and received an excellent response from furniture retailers.
