Pinnacle Entries Grow as ASFD President’s Award Added

”We are seeing a substantial increase in Pinnacle entries a full month before the deadline,” claims Karl D. Felperin, ASFD Pinnacle Chairman. “This reflects the ongoing branding of the Pinnacle Awards as a mark of excellence in product design within the industry.” For the tenth annual ASFD Pinnacles, a new prize has been added—the ASFD President’s Award. The new Award, which was created to honor the memories of the late David Kline, Roger Schneeman and Alan Friedman--all professional furniture designers and former ASFD presidents since 1997, is intended to honor talented young furniture designers 35 and younger. With the deadline fast approaching, it is recommended that entries be express mailed to ASFD by August 31.
