A GOOD LEADER....

  1. realizes you cannot build “goodwill” through criticism.

  2. understands vulgar and profane expressions are not successful motivators.

  3. shares appreciation for specific acts and accomplishments.

  4. is aware that even when discipline is required, frequently it results in unintended consequences.

  5. knows the closer the reward or punishment is to the act, the more meaningful the results and the impact.

  6. doesn’t allow punishment to be open-ended. All discipline should have time limits.

These weekly “Monday Morning Management Tips” are jointly provided by both Country View Woodworking and Furniture World.
