Furniture World News Desk on 1/16/2019

Vanguard Furniture recently announced its new offerings for the upcoming Las Vegas Market.  Vanguard will make its West coast debut of its EASE upholstery program which is the flip side of the custom-coin. EASE offers the styling, comfort and craftsmanship customers have come to expect from Vanguard but hits a lower starting price point and is designed for everyday living.

5 distinctive styles, each in 5 performance fabrics are stocked in the warehouse and available for immediate shipment.  By including the most popular features as standard and offering only a limited edition of the most desirable fabrics, Vanguard can anticipate demand and get it on a truck within 48 hours.

This also allows for efficiencies of scale in the factory which helps to achieve better pricing.  If, however a customer wants to customize it, she can with any of the custom features Vanguard offers in its line.

When asked why Vanguard was venturing into this area, Bray explained, “we wanted to line extend the Vanguard brand to reach a larger audience without sacrificing our production values or quality.  We discovered many people aspire to own the Vanguard brand, but had difficulty waiting 6 weeks for a totally custom product. They want something that looks great, is supremely comfortable and that they can get right away.   They trust our designers to put fabric to frame and buy it just the way it looks in the catalog or on the floor.”

EASE has all of the heritage of Vanguard’s premium line but hits a retail sweet spot of about $1,499. And yet, EASE is not a scaled-down imitation. It is full sized upholstery covered in high performance fabric. It is padded with hypo-allergenic feather and down interiors which are the gold standard of comfort and quality allowing cushions to conform to the bod

Their 3,250-square-foot showroom, is located on the first floor of Building A in the Las Vegas Design Center and is open year-round. According to Vanguard Furniture president Andy Bray, “Ours is unlike any other showroom in Las Vegas.  We’ve designed it to be an upscale boutique experience to reflect how fashionable retailers and interior designers merchandise their wares. The showroom combines an unusual mix of technology, customization and fashion, akin to the challenges faced by purveyors with small footprints and big ideas.”

Vanguard will be open for business on Sunday, January 27, the first day of market.
