Malouf Foundation Prepares for Third Bi-Annual Forging Freedom Event

Furniture World News Desk on 1/27/2019

The Malouf Foundation reports that it will hold its third bi-annual Forging Freedom Anti-Human Trafficking Event on Monday, Jan. 28 from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. at Las Vegas Market. During this event, guests will learn how to leverage their business resources to save children caught in the human trafficking cycle. They will also gain access to essential training and marketing tools to help them share the cause with their employees and community.

“By now, many bedding and furniture businesses are familiar with OnWatch,” said Sam Malouf, co-founder and president of the Malouf Foundation. “Now we want to show them how they can get more involved in the cause.”

As part of the event program, guests can see what’s new with OnWatch and how they can implement this training program into their business. People are encouraged to complete the training at iamonwatch.org. Here, they can learn the signs of human trafficking and how to respond when they see something.
Forging Freedom guests can also listen to industry business owners who are involved with OnWatch and see how they have used this campaign to make a difference in their communities.

Before guests leave, they will receive a USB drive loaded with OnWatch marketing assets they can download and display in their stores, give to their customers, and share on social media and their websites. “Spreading the word is one of the most important things we can do to raise awareness,” Malouf said. “We can accomplish a lot more when we work together.”

Las Vegas Market guests can come to the Forging Freedom event in Suite C1312 at the World Market Center. For those who can’t attend, they can watch the live stream through the Malouf Foundation Facebook page at facebook.com/MaloufFoundation.
