Classic Brands to Launch Roll-Packed ‘Roost’ Collection at Las Vegas Market

Targeting brick-and-mortar stores looking for a bed-in-a-box lineup to compete with online retailers, specialty mattress producer Classic Brands will unveil the Roost Collection at the Winter Las Vegas Market. Featuring a memory foam core and a sliver-infused fabric cover, the four-bed collection can be sold with coordinating pillows and a mattress protector.

“This is the perfect bed-in-a-box program for dealers who need to address that segment of the market, but don’t have the option of using a private-label line.” said Mike Zippelli, chief executive officer of Classic Brands. “It has many of the same features and benefits of higher-priced bedding that isn’t shipped in a box, with the option of adding pillows and a mattress cover.”

The new mattresses retail for $399 to $699 in queen, while the coordinating pillows retail at $49.99 to $79.99.

Zippelli said the MDI memory foam core used in the Roost Collection is a formulation that will retain its softness in all types of weather and recovers faster than other types of memory foam. And the sliver-infused ticking is anti-microbial and is resistant to dust mites and other allergens.

The mattresses are eight, 10, 12 and 14 inches in thickness. The 14-inch model features a one-inch layer of latex cushioning in addition to the MDI memory foam.

    To support the Roost Collection, Classic is developing a stand-alone website, www.roostsleep.com, that will go live during the Las Vegas Market, which takes place Jan. 27-31.
