Bedgear Donates Bedding In Response To The Life-Threatening Flooding In Houston

In response to the life-threatening flooding and historic rainfall that besieged the Houston area, Bedgear Performance Bedding reports that it has donated $52,000 worth of its performance bedding products to help those in desperate need of a dry, comfortable sleep environment and to replace their ruined bedding.

Working with its retail partner Mattress Firm and the Houston Furniture Bank, Bedgear provided 1,225 pillows and 223 mattress protectors to flood victims. “We are proud to be lending a helping hand to these disaster victims," says Eugene Alletto, Founder and CEO of Bedgear. "More than 6,700 homes have been flooded, displacing thousands of people, and the figure is expected to rise. It touches us even deeper to know that some of the victims are from our retail partner Mattress Firm, which is based in Houston. We applaud the Houston Furniture Bank in its efforts to support the flood victims and we urge other firms and organizations to make their own sizable donation to help this devastated region."

Houston city officials have outlined steps that residents need to take at their flooded homes, which includes removing and discarding all wet items including bedding. Bedgear has arranged to have its products quickly shipped directly to the Houston Furniture Bank where the bedding products will be distributed to those in need.
