Currey & Company recently announced that architect and designer, Barry Goralnick will debut a lighting collection in October 2018 for the company. Based in New York, he has had his own firm for more than twenty years. A graduate of Harvard School of Design, Mr. Goralnick has designed for a variety of premiere home and hospitality companies and now Currey & Company will be added to the list. His work has been showcased in Architectural Digest, ELLE DECOR, The New York Times as well as international publications.

Creative Director for Currey & Company, Cecil Adams, shares about the collection: “Barry’s unique point of view brings a fresh perspective to a new task-oriented collection of lighting designs and we are looking forward to sharing the results of our collaboration. We have certainly enjoyed our design experience with Barry.”

The first sets of designs for the collection are focused on task lighting. Mr. Goralnick and Currey & Company believe that smartly designed lighting is essential for the success of an interior. The task light will no longer be just functional but will blend inspirations from many styles and design eras with more glamorous motifs, details, and finishes. Barry states, “I strived to evolve task lighting to be design-forward, while working with a range of aesthetics, in a multitude of rooms, and in a variety of situations.”
