UltraComfort Introduces Three Motor Recline Positioning Technology

Pennsylvania-based manufacturer UltraComfort America recently announced a new patent-pending recline technology, Eclipse positioning, at the High Point Spring Market. This is the industry’s first three-motor positioning technology to be featured on a traditional recliner.

The launch of Eclipse positioning marks years of development with unique positioning comfort in mind. Though most infinite positioning recliners have two motors, one to operate the backrest and one to operate the footrest, Eclipse positioning features a third motor that allows the chair to tilt on it “axis”. This tilt is controlled by two simple buttons which offer a cradle-like comfort that cannot be found anywhere else.

This patent pending movement works in conjunction with their current positioning patent and can allow for feet elevation, pressure point relief, muscle rejuvenation, increased level of rest and more. In addition to the wellness positioning, Eclipse does have a lift option that will comfortably assist the user out of the chair.

Eclipse positioning is offered on one model, the UC558. This chair is handcrafted by America workers in Old Forge, PA. UltraComfort expects to start shipping this product in June.
