Furniture World News Desk on 6/22/2018

Sleep technology specialist Ergomotion reports that it is expanding its business into Europe and the Middle East and has appointed Nuno Corte Real Figueiredo, a 20 plus year experience international sales executive, to the newly-created post of sales manager for the two regions.

“Adjustable bases are increasingly growing in popularity at the premium end of the market in Europe and the Middle East. Consumers are looking for greater design and product innovation and that is boosting our sales in these regions. Nuno has a wide range of sales experience in the furniture industry and other industries covering more than two decades, and he will be able to make an immediate contribution to our business,” said Ergomotion Chief Operating Officer Johnny Griggs.

For the past two years, Figueiredo was international sales manager for MPG, a Lisbon, Portugal-based manufacturer of office furniture. Prior to that, he was sales and marketing director and a member of the executive board of Gavedra, S.A., a distributor of hydraulic and gas construction equipment. During that time, he was the company’s representative in Mozambique.

He also held international sales posts at Prebuild, a Bogota, Colombia-based construction company, and Nautilus Portugal, and spent 14 years as export manager and later general manager of Didabrinca, a toy distributor.
