Furniture World News Desk on 7/20/2018

Southerland recently announced that Greg Wanninger has rejoined the independent mattress producer in the post of regional vice president of sales. Wanninger, who has more than 25 years’ experience in the sleep products industry, will oversee sales in the Southeastern United States.

In addition to his previous stint as a sales representative for Southerland from 2003 to 2009, Wanninger has worked as a sales representative at mattress producers Park Place and Corsicana Bedding, bed frame and adjustable bed suppliers Glideaway and W. Silver Products, and bedding accessories supplier Protect-A-Bed. He also has worked in mattress retailing as a sales associate and retail store owner.
In his new post, Wanninger reports to Bryan Smith, president and chief executive officer of Southerland.
“Greg’s outstanding track record in the mattress industry and his previous success at Southerland make him the ideal candidate to fill this post,” said Smith. “He will have an immediate, positive impact on our business, and we’re happy to have him back.”

“I am excited to return to Southerland,” Wanninger said. “The company’s recent focus on higher-end mattresses and adjustable beds provides a compelling story that I can’t wait to share with our existing and future retail partners.”

Wanninger lives in Springville, Alabama, with his wife and children.
