Eclipse International Adding $2,999 Luxury ‘Velika’ Package to Bed-In-A-Box Category

In response to the popularity of its European-style luxury bedding program Velika, bedding manufacturer Eclipse International reports that it is broadening the collection to include a bed-in-a-box design. Laska by Velika will give retailers a competitive, luxury-boxed-bed design that touts the high-end style Eclipse brought to the marketplace with Velika.

As the bed-in-a-box business continues to grow, Eclipse sees great potential in the luxury bedding segment of the category. Traditionally thought of as an opening price point business, boxed mattresses tend to be bare bones and offer few upscale features. Eclipse is moving to change that perception with the introduction of Laska by Velika.

“The successful launch of Velika and strong encouragement from retailers helped solidify our decision to design a model that could be easily boxed and shipped anywhere,” said Stuart Carlitz, chief executive officer of Eclipse International. “This enhanced boxed bed will feature the great upscale look and design that the original mattress offers.”

Laska by Velika mimics the signature Velika and features all-natural, lush materials. It also uses Eclipse’s two-sided, pocketed-coil sleep system with its LifeEdge perimeter-edge support and features a comfort duvet with Talalay Latex and luxury Pima cotton.

Laska by Velika is priced to retail at $2,999 in queen, with a platform unit.
