BedGear Announces Staff Expansion in Sales Operations, Finance and Retail Education

Furniture World News Desk on 7/31/2018

BedGear recently announced the addition of four new members to the BedGear team. The company welcomed Christina Marin as Visual Operations Manager, Tony Lam as Controller and Ashleigh Reding as well as Ferdinand Guinto as Retail Sales Educators.

As Visual Operations Manager, Christina Marin will work as part of the Sales Operations team to lead visual installations for all of BedGear’s shop-in-shops around the world. Prior to joining BedGear, Marin worked at Macy’s Herald Square where she created, designed and produced weekly large-scale visual installations for cosmetics companies as well as men’s/women’s fragrance houses.

Marin has extensive experience as a fashion stylist where she worked on music videos, magazine editorials, fashion photo shoots and promotional videos. Her background is key for her new role at BedGear where she’ll be involved in all aspects of the retail environment. She will report directly to Lori Ellis, Director of Sales Operations.

In his role as Controller, Tony Lam will be responsible for the entire accounting function of the BedGear organization. As a licensed CPA, Lam has worked as a Controller in the aviation industry, specializing in airport equipment and spent ten years as the controller of a windows/shade manufacturing and installation company. Lam will report directly to Vito Gaeta, Chief Financial Officer.

Ashleigh Reding joins BedGear as a Retail Sales Educator working closely with the Education Team around the country. Reding will be working in the greater Dallas area and will be primarily based in BedGear’s retail partner store, Nebraska Furniture Mart, to educate retail sales associates on product knowledge, interact with consumers, and drive brand awareness in the geography.

Before her move to BedGear, Reding worked with Ashley Furniture and Jackson/Catnapper as a Marketing Specialist and Sales Representative. In those roles, she was responsible for maintaining, increasing, and opening new accounts, while also strengthening brand awareness in her designated territory. Reding will report to Holly Adorno, Director of Player Development.

Like Reding, Ferdinand “Ferdie” Guinto joins the team as a Retail Sales Educator. He will be stationed in BedGear’s retail partner’s store, Nebraska Furniture Mart in Kansas City. Guinto brings many years of industry experience to his new role having started in the furniture industry at Mattress Firm, overseeing store operations in Kansas City. After spending four years with them, he worked as a territory manager for one of the mattress manufacturing giants.

“As BedGear continues to expand globally, it is a priority to have the right people in place to help manage and further our growth, said Eugene Alletto, CEO, BedGear. “We are thrilled to welcome Christina, Tony, Ashleigh and Ferdinand as part of the BedGear team and are confident they will be additive to our business.”
