Pearson Reveals the Kim Scodro Collection

Pearson reports that this Fall, it will unveil a new upholstery collection in collaboration with the talented Kim Scodro. This elegant signature collection of couture upholstery embodies both Kim Scodro’s design aesthetic and the generations of craftsmen that create custom upholstery in Pearson’s workroom in Hickory, North Carolina.

The collection will be unveiled in two venues this fall. The first unveiling will be held in New York City at the Hickory Chair – Pearson – Henredon Interior Design Showroom, Space 102, at the New York Design Center on Thursday, September 13th as a part of the annual “What’s New What’s Next @ 200 Lex” event.

All are invited to preview the collection and attend a very special panel discussion entitled: “Building Your Brand - Join Margaret Russell and designers Kim Scodro, Suzanne Kasler, Jeffrey Bilhuber and Hutton Wilkinson as they discuss how to create a dynamic interior design brand—from defining your aesthetic to marketing and product licensing. Learn from these design experts as they share their personal paths to branding success.” This lively discussion will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the New York Design Center at 200 Lexington Avenue, New York City, at the Hickory Chair - Pearson - Henredon Interior Design Showroom, Space 102, during the 2018 WNWN @ 200 Lex event on Thursday, September 13th. Refreshments will be served.

The entire Kim Scodro for Pearson collection will be unveiled on Friday, October 12th at the International Home Furnishings Fall Market in High Point, North Carolina. In collaboration with Kim, a major renovation of the Pearson Showroom has been executed to create an inspirational space where the beauty of this elegant new upholstery collection will be showcased. The collection is complete with sofas, chairs, barstools, ottomans and a skirted end table. The elegant silhouettes that Kim has designed have been lovingly bench made in Pearson’s Hickory, North Carolina workroom. The Kim Scodro Collection is the largest licensed collection ever launched by Pearson.

The Pearson showroom will feature a very special Fromental wallpaper that was chosen by Kim for the space. Paintings by Atlanta, Georgia artist, Renee Bouchon, were commissioned for the display. Renee's work is soft, classic yet very current and are the perfect complement to the collection. Kim has also collaborated with the Pearson design team to source fabrics from across the world for the collection. Known for its elegant textiles, Pearson will showcase its prowess as a textile leader with these elegant additions to its comprehensive collection.

A special launch event will be held on Saturday, October 13th in the Pearson Showroom from 4-6 pm to celebrate this exciting new collection. Join us for libations as we celebrate this exciting collaboration with Kim Scodro. The Pearson Showroom is conveniently located in the historic Market Square building on the 3rd floor.

More about Kim Scodro: Kim Scodro founded Kim Scodro Interiors in 2007 with locations in Chicago and Phoenix. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Loyola University, Chicago.
