Intiaro Launches Custom Upholstery Configuration Solution

Furniture World News Desk on 10/13/2018

Intiaro, a company offering innovative, immersive 3D visualization solutions to design- oriented brands and interior design professionals, recently announced that it will launch an entirely new version of its Augmented Reality enabled 3D Product Configurator during the High Point Market, October 12-17, 2018. The company has partnered with Lexington Home Brands and will be demonstrating the technology in Lexington’s main showroom complex on National Highway during Market week. Lexington will use the Intiaro solution to facilitate a highly intuitive, customer-friendly digital experience to its Personal Design Series (PDS) upholstery program. PDS allows dealers, consumers, sales associates and interior design professionals to fully customize upholstered seating, offering virtually limitless options.

“The PDS upholstery program represents significant business for Lexington and our retailers,” said Robert Stamper, Senior Vice President of Marketing. “The primary benefit of the program is unlimited customization. The associated challenge is its level of complexity – both in the number of configuration options and dynamic pricing. Visualization is key to an exceptional customer experience, and our goal is to offer an intuitive solution that is visually engaging – empowering the user with tools for creative self- expression. After looking at numerous vendors, we felt the team at Intiaro had the greatest depth of experience and capacity to create a solution that would address configuration, draping, frame customization, pricing, 3D and AR. We couldn’t be more pleased with the results, and are anxious for our dealers to experience it at Market.”

“The PDS upholstery program is one of the most highly configurable and complex in the industry,” said

Pawel Ciach, Chief Executive Officer at Intiaro. “We felt there was a competitive advantage in starting with the most complicated scenario to showcase the capabilities of our technology, and Lexington’s team was well prepared to support the project. In the last five years, we have been working with businesses across a wide range of industry verticals in Europe. Our experience has demonstrated that design- oriented brands selling highly configurable products average a 15% revenue lift, with an associated reduction in returns and order-entry errors. As a result, our focus is singularly on those types of companies, as well as supporting the interior design community, for whom this solution represents a breakthrough enhancement in the efficiency of their workflow”

The new PDS application is designed to work on desktop, tablet and mobile devices. It is particularly effective in creating custom sectional configurations, which are the source of most spatial layout mistakes and order-entry issues. The visualization on-screen allows the user to see changes in the frame design, the fabrication, and custom options in 3D. It also allows the configuration to be printed out in tear-sheet format or emailed to the client.

The flexibility of the solution will allow users to work on their desktop, via a browser-enabled web application and then view the customized piece on mobile, utilizing the AR component to visualize their upholstery in the room of their choice. The solution is designed so that any dealer or interior design professional can incorporate the application into their existing website with a snippet of code. Lexington will be deploying the new PDS solution on their public website for consumer use. For additional information or appointments, contact michal.stachowski@intiaro.com or call 336.697.6677.
