Talalay latex producer Talalay Global recently announced that it has named Jack Kurilla to the newly created post of vice president of business development. Kurilla brings more than 20 years of leadership in sales, product and business development across diverse product categories to the only U.S. producer of Talalay latex.

“Jack’s vast experience in the textiles, housewares and tabletop industries makes him perfectly suited for this new position as we embark on a plan to grow several areas of our business,” said Marc Navarre, who was named Talalay Global CEO in April. “He has a history of generating stellar results using omnichannel sales strategies.”

Since early 1998, Kurilla has led sales and marketing teams that have generated unprecedented results in both sales and profit. Working the past seven years with textile companies such as Excell, Glenoit, Designweave and SureFit.

“This is an exciting time to be a part of Talalay Global as we implement our plan to launch our new upscale brand and products at retail in North America,” Kurilla said. “Our proprietary Talalay latex process and unmatched research and development efforts will allow us to penetrate multiple distribution channels with unique high-end products.”

A resident of Madison, New Jersey, Kurilla holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Johnson and Wales University.

Talalay Global has also hired veteran home décor and fashion industry executive Margaret Nanni as of vice president of product development. Nanni brings more than 20 years’ experience in merchandising, global sourcing and product management to the newly created position.

“Margaret has the ideal skill set that we need to move forward with our ambitious growth plans. She has a strong record of bringing new products to market successfully, and can spot trends and evaluate new opportunities,” said Marc Navarre, president and CEO of Talalay Global.

Most recently, Nanni was senior vice president of merchandising, product development and global sourcing at SureFit Home Décor, a post she had held since 2011. At SureFit, she managed a team of 12 people that oversaw the product categories of slipcovers, furniture protectors and throws, decorative pillows, window coverings, bath curtains and outdoor covers.

From 2005 to 2011, she was vice president of product development, global sourcing and technical design for the women’s fashion catalog and e-commerce business at Spiegel Inc. From 2003 to 2005, she was vice president of global sourcing, production, technical design and quality control at Warnaco Calvin Klein Jeans, and she held a variety of merchandising and product development posts at several other major retailers.

“This is an exciting opportunity to join a talented senior leadership team of a company with significant growth potential and a unique product that delivers unmatched comfort,” Nanni said.
