Symbol Names First President’s Circle Awards Winners

Symbol Mattress recently named the inaugural recipients of its President’s Circle Awards recognizing the top sales professionals in the Top 15 producer’s organization this past year.
Four industry veterans and top sales performers for Symbol were honored: Mark Fieldstein, Cliff Fincher, Dick Mankamyer and Dallas Tennyson. Each received a plaque and $1,000 check during the company’s sales meeting held prior to the opening of the Las Vegas Market last month.
“The President’s Circle Awards was created to recognize our sales professionals who perform their jobs above and beyond expectations,” said Nick Hrkman, National Sales Manager for Symbol. “Each of the sales professionals honored in our first year of this award has consistently posted solid sales performance; demonstrated best practices in full stewardship of their accounts from order accuracy to handling logistics and credit; and communicated effectively within our team and organization.”
Mankamyer is Regional Manager for Symbol and brings an impressive 50 years’ industry experience having served brands such as Simmons, Ethan Allen, Springwall Mattress and Bassett Bedding. He served on the Board of Trustees of the International Sleep Products Association from 1992 to 1998.
Tennyson, Business Development Manager for Symbol the past five years, is a fourth-generation bedding industry professional who’s grown up in the business and says he has a “passion for all things mattresses and helping others grow.” He handles Oklahoma and Texas accounts.
Fieldstein and Fincher are sales representatives who have covered North Carolina as a team for Symbol for more than five years. Both are 35-year bedding veterans with a depth of knowledge and expertise from the supply and retail sides of the business which enable them to bring a multi-faceted approach to their customers.
Hrkman added, “Recognizing sales professionals for the full scope of the job is important to the individual as well as the organization, and Symbol is proud of its team and our move to honor their hard work.”
