Ameriwood Home to Focus On Small Office, Home Office (SOHO) at High Point

Ameriwood Home, a division of Dorel Industries Inc., (TSX: DII.B; DII.A), announced that it will be making a small office, home office (SOHO) statement in this spring’s High Point Market. The push for a more extensive collection of SOHO items began after research proved home buyers were searching for homes with extra office spaces to accommodate remote working positions. According to Small Business Trends, 3.9 million Americans now work from home at least half of the week, which is a 115 percent increase from 2005.

“With these statistics increasing each year, it's essential for us to design functional and stylish office pieces that work for all home types,” said Ray Toal VP eCommerce. “While walking our showroom, you will see home office styles from simple and open to detailed designs with sophisticated architectural emphases. These options allow practical set ups for apartments, lofts, and larger designated offices.”

The showroom will display a variety of desk styles from writing desks and L desks to single pedestal desks. Some of the SOHO showstoppers will be the Collins, Remington, and Gillham collections. These office-geared collections bring out the best in their categories and offer new looks for Ameriwood Home.

The Collins will be the first Ameriwood Home collection to feature the illusion of floating tops. The open, airy design allows it to be an excellent component for smaller spaces. Additional special features are the black tinted glass shelves that add even more modern appeal and class to the collection. The Collins is made up of a five-piece collection for both home office and living room, which includes a desk, bookshelf, end table, coffee table, and TV stand.

The Ameriwood Home mid-century modern style is still in full swing with the Remington collection. This collection features a bookcase, printer stand, and desk with tapered, angled legs to accentuate the popular mid-century style in an office setting. More collection pieces can be found in the living room category with a fireplace TV stand, TV stand, coffee table, accent tables, and console.

The Gillham collection will boast modern industrial style with bronze metal pipe framework. The SOHO desk and bookcase have a unique ladder design to create a beautifully coordinated desk and bookcase wall or separate them to accommodate a more intimate office setting. This look also carries into the living room with a TV stand, coffee table, and end table.
