Najarian Furniture Introduces Flexible, Quick-Ship Mix Program

Furniture World News Desk on 3/20/2019

California-based furniture designer and manufacturer Najarian Furniture announced that it will launch a new Vietnam-based, quick-ship, Mix Program, enabling more customers to take advantage of factory direct pricing and product assortment flexibility.

Mixed container programs offer a unique selling proposition for dealers who were previously unable to order full containers of a collection, and therefore take advantage of factory direct pricing. Mixed container programs enable more customers to take advantage of factory direct pricing by building containers with multiple skus across product categories.

Though no longer an industry novelty, according to Michael Lawrence, executive vice-president of operations, mixed container programs significantly change the competitive landscape for many retailers.

“While much of our business is container-direct there are many dealers we simply haven’t been able to service in a cost-effective way from the west coast. It just made so much sense for us to come up with a solution that makes it easy for our dealers to flow product and reap the savings benefits. This will allow us to bring our unique styles and tremendous values to a larger audience and allow us to compete in markets across the country. With our Mix Program, most of our customers will be able to order direct, and take advantage of the benefits that come along with that, including the flexibility of buying as many groups in whatever quantities, all in-stock, and ready to ship.” states Lawrence.

Historically, customers not buying factory direct were serviced from Najarian’s Rancho Cucamonga, CA warehouse.

Best-sellers, October High Point Market introductions, bedroom, dining, occasional, and upholstery are encompassed in the program. Orders are consolidated at the Vietnam warehouse and are shipped within 30 days of purchase order. Retailers can choose from 300 plus products.

The Mixed Program will officially launch April 1st. There are currently 250 containers worth of inventory ready to ship. The company notes it can expand its capabilities as needed. An online customer portal where customers can build containers is in-the-works and is scheduled to launch mid-summer.
