Raffel Systems Donates Heated Pet Beds to Local Animal Shelters

Raffel Systems, a Wisconsin-based provider of innovative technology for living, announced that it is donating heated pet beds to four local shelters: Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS), Washington County Humane Society, Wisconsin Humane Society – Ozaukee Campus, and Pine View Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center. The shelters serve Waukesha and Washington and Ozaukee Counties. These shelters, all of which accept animals regardless of age and health, serve thousands of animals a year. They not only connect animals with new homes, but also offer training classes, rehabilitation services, community outreach, and education programs.
“We hear from our customers how much their pets love our beds,” said John Dudash, CEO. “For years Raffel has developed comfort products for the furniture industry; we are happy to share our comfort technology and support local animal shelters at the same time.” The pet beds, which can be used indoors, outdoors, and even in a vehicle, have a built-in heater that warms to a temperature recommended by veterinarians for maximum therapeutic value. A hidden pressure switch ensures that the heater is only on when the animal is lying on the cushion. Raffel Systems used their experience as an industry leader in innovative motion control devices, heat and massage, and charging power supplies for a wide variety of furniture for homes and movie theaters to develop these therapeutic pet-safe heat technology beds.
In addition to being used in the shelters for rehabilitation, some of Raffel’s donated pet beds will be lent to families who are fostering shelter dogs, and in some cases, beds may even go home with dogs once they are adopted. “We love the work that these shelters are doing,” said Lisa Schwab, Marketing Manager. “It’s an honor to work with them to make our communities better for animals who really need our help.”
