Last Chance to Purchase Tickets for the American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame Induction Celebration

The American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame Foundation, Inc., recently issued the final call to purchase tickets to the Hall of Fame Induction Celebration to be held Sunday, Oct. 15, at the Sheraton Greensboro Four Seasons.

“The event has, without a doubt, become the industry’s most prestigious gathering with plenty of networking opportunities including the Cocktail Party before and the After Party at the conclusion of the induction celebration,” says Bob Maricich, president of the Foundation board of directors. “We’re looking forward to a night of inspiration and entertainment, as the top leaders in all segments of home furnishings gather to honor their peers with the industry’s most coveted recognition, induction into the Hall of Fame.”

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell will deliver the keynote address. The retired U.S. general, who has held senior military and diplomatic positions across four presidential administrations, is among the most admired and respected leaders in the world today. Celebrity presenters include Rachael Ray, Jane Seymour, Kathy Ireland and Donny Osmond, with a high energy performance by the 5th Dimension.

“As our inaugural keynote speaker, Gen. Powell epitomizes our 2017 Hall of Fame Foundation campaign theme: Aspire to Lead,” Maricich says. “His life is a testament to the value of leadership, and we believe his message will inspire each of us to greater leadership. But, most importantly, we’re celebrating four Hall of Fame inductees who, through their accomplishments and service, have helped build and define our industry.”

Joining the current 108 Hall of Fame members are Donald H. Flanders, Sr., founder and chairman of Lloyd Flanders, Inc.; Vladimir Kagan, The Vladimir Kagan Design Group; Samuel Kuo, cofounder and chairman of Samson Holding Ltd.; and Bernard D. Moray, chairman of Gorman’s Home Furnishings & Interior Design.
