Englander Names Mark Kinsley as New President

Englander has named high-profile industry executive Mark Kinsley to the role of president, signaling the fresh approach the Top 10 bedding producer is taking in a rapidly evolving industry.
 
Working with CEO Kevin Toman, Kinsley will lead the development and execution of a dynamic growth strategy for sales, marketing and merchandising. He will focus on further developing the strength of the Englander brand and will report directly to Toman.  
 
“Mark absolutely has the growth mindset and skills Englander needs to further the success we’ve had, and equally important is the undeniable energy and enthusiasm for the business that will invigorate the brand,” said Toman.
 
Kinsley has served as Vice President of Marketing at Leggett & Platt for the past five years where he was responsible for all marketing initiatives for the bedding group and oversaw the internal creative team that offered global marketing support. During his tenure, he led the creation of the ActivEdge category of branded products, which the company said now represents nearly half of ComfortCore fabric-encased coil units sold in the industry.
 
Kinsley’s high profile is credited to his role on the Better Sleep Council, and due to producing and co-hosting the bedding industry’s only podcast, which has attracted more than 100,000 impressions and features nearly 100 episodes. The podcast covers a wide range of topics relevant to people serving in the bedding business. He’s also been featured on stage at multiple speaking engagements at Furniture Today’s well-attended Bedding and Leadership conferences.

Legacy brands are experiencing dynamic changes and the approach to consumers is evolving,” said Kinsley. “I’m excited to energize Englander’s marketing efforts and build on the foundation Kevin has put in place with national distribution and an expanding international presence.”
