Groovystuff announced that with 10 successful years in home furnishings under its belt, the sustainable style expert and home furnishings manufacturer has been awarded with the elite Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) chain of custody certification from the Rainforest Alliance. In honor of this certification, buyers and the media at the High Point Market will be a part of the debut launching of The Phoenix Collection, a lineup of innovative products crafted from 100% recycled materials. Groovystuff’s FSC Chain of Custody certificate means it can label products in The Phoenix Collection with the FSC trademark. The FSC’s standards are widely recognized as the most rigorous anywhere, guaranteeing that products bearing its label come from forest lands that are responsibly managed to conserve biodiversity and support local economies. Debuting April 25-30 at the High Point Market in High Point, NC, The Phoenix Collection offers an exclusive series of products that are at the leading edge of accountability in the home furnishings industry. Groovystuff’s certification covers the next five years, from February 2009 to February 2014. The company can also use the certification logo from the Rainforest Alliance, which is accredited by the FSC to provide third-party certification. The Rainforest Alliance’s SmartWood program provides a variety of certification and auditing services, including the FSC chain-of-custody certification achieved by Groovystuff. "You’re invited to see “Why Certification Matters in 30 Minutes or Less, April 26, 4:30 – 5pm at The Suites at Market Square - Groovystuff Showroom # G-1148,” said Chris Brunning who designed the new line.
