Mike Craven, CHR Passes

IHFRA repored that Mike Craven CHR passed away yesterday afternoon in Maryland after a few months of declining health. Mike was a member of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter and furniture rep for Fairfield Chair. His brothers Mark Craven and Jim Craven also work for Fairfield Chair and both are IHFRA Past Presidents. Mike grew up in Nashville, TN and was a graduate of Father Ryan High School where he lettered in varsity basketball and baseball. He earned a B/A degree at DePauw University in Greencastle, IN and lettered in baseball. He was a career sales representative, starting out in the shoe industry with Timberland. His career moved him to the Bay Area of California where he lived for over 20 years. It was here that he developed a passion for tennis. The last ten years of his life he was a sales representative in the furniture industry for Fairfield Chair Company, working in the states of MD and VA. Mike touched many lives along his journey. His fun loving, colorful approach to life made all those that he knew laugh and smile. He is survived by his mother, Mary Fitzgerald Craven; his eight siblings, John, Susan, Donna, Joe, Cathy, Beth, Mark and Jim; his nineteen nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father, Ronald A. Craven, Jr. and niece Melissa Johnson.
