Stanley Furniture Announces Prize To Green Designer

Stanley Furniture announced the name of the winner of a $1,000 merchandise credit in honor of the recent Greenspiration Interior Designer Event. 

Co-sponsored by Stanley Furniture, the Greenspiration Interior Designer Event was hosted at the areaʼs first LEED-registered home, located in northwest Greensboro, N.C.

On April 29th, during the Spring High Point Furniture Market, interior designers were invited to shuttle from High Pointʼs Market Transportation Center to Greensboro to tour  Greenspiration Home, receive Continuing Education Units toward their ASID accreditations and enter to win prizes from sponsors Stanley Furniture, Sunbrella andKohler.

After being randomly selected from an assortment of prize entrants, Kathy Browning, principal interior designer of Design Consultants (Green Design & Direction), was awarded a $1,000 credit toward the Stanley Furniture or Young America merchandise of choice. luck would have it, the Virginia Beach, Va. designer has been a Stanley Furniture customer for years. “When youʼre in the business of sustainable interior design, sourcing furniture from a domestic manufacturer is key to delivering ʻgreenʼ,” said Browning. “Stanley Furniture has always been able to do that without compromising the quality and style that my clients expect. And now this merchandise credit has made it easier to rely on Stanley Furniture to help me do my job.”

According to Glenn Prillaman, Stanley Furnitureʼs Executive VP of Sales and Marketing, Greenspiration Interior Designer Event and $1,000 merchandise credit were on with a broader initiative to enhance the companyʼs relationship with interiordesigners. “Designers are key to our sales strategy and our business model. Weʼre always trying to think of new ways to reach out and make our brands and products more accessible to the design community,” said Prillaman.

Mark Thedford, the Stanley Furniture sales representative for Virginiaʼs mid-Atlantic region, also commented on the drawingʼs role in fostering activity within the design channel. “This prize drawing was a great opportunity to interest new designers in doing business with Stanley Furniture, as well as encourage designers to do more business with us. Iʼm particularly excited that Kathy won; they couldnʼt have selected a more dedicated designer,” added Thedford.
