World Market Center announced that the inaugural Fall Las Vegas Market at World Market Center Las Vegas will be major watershed event in which an unprecedented amount of new product introductions will be featured—more so than any previous Market. With so many launches of single lines and whole collections confirmed, there is plenty to be excited about during the upcoming Las Vegas Market, September 14 - 17. Add in a wealth of educational events and trends presentations, and it’s the “must attend” event this fall.

In a recent survey of exhibitors conducted by World Market Center Las Vegas, 94 percent of the respondents said they are going to launch new product during the September Market, most of which will be products unveiled for the first time at any market.

“When we project the results of the survey it shows there will be tens of thousands of new products and lines introduced at September Las Vegas Market,” said Robert Maricich, President and CEO of World Market Center Las Vegas.  “Impressively, 80 percent of initial respondents will have product available for immediate shipment, representing a commonality that now is the time to ‘play to win’ with aggressive product introductions and, importantly, impactful promotions and specials geared to motivate buyers with incredible value.”

Michael Facchini of Tradewins Furniture says Las Vegas Market is vital to Tradewins Furniture’s success, and has become the Market where they unveil all of their new introductions. “There is energy in Vegas that is not present anywhere else,” he says. “We enjoy all that Vegas has to offer, but what it offers our customers who attend is paramount.”

World Market Center has a number of new resources for buyers who come to Las Vegas Market specifically looking for new product. Included is the First Look: Las Vegas new product showcase and breakfast.

First Look gives buyers two ways to experience all the new products and collections that will be unveiled at Las Vegas Market. First, it’s a products and trends presentation that kicks off the show on Monday, Sept. 14 at 8:30 a.m. in WorldView, Building B, 16th floor. In addition, attendees will receive a copy of the First Look products and trend tracker, which is intended to whet retailers’ and interior designers’ appetites and guide their shopping at the show. Products and trends editor and President of Nine Muses Media Julie M. Smith will present the trends and new products at the breakfast.

“Smart retailers know that they need to introduce new products to their merchandise mix, even in this economy — and even smarter retailers go where they can see new products first,” says Smith. “I think it’s going to help them to really edit down all of what’s new to the products that are most relevant to their stores or design firms.”

Having a vast assortment of new products sets the stage for a successful market, and the fall edition of Las Vegas Market has several noteworthy shopping opportunities, says Smith. “And not just a new case in an existing bedroom suite—buyers will find new collections and noteworthy accessories and lighting designs,” among other home furnishings categories.

Kerry Lebensburger, president of product and sales at Ashley Furniture says the company is introducing 200 new products in every category. Buyers will be able to see bedroom, dining and living room products and more.

Too, AICO/Amini Innovation Corp. is launching products in the case good category, and each collection will be a full collection, including bedroom, dining room and upholstery. “These new collections include appealing designs, multiple functions and many hidden features and benefits that are unique to collections from AICO,” says Pauline Perenack. “We are constantly striving for new and innovative products, and we feel that these new collections exude those qualities.”

These new collections include Sedgewicke, a country-English style; Grande Aristocrat, traditional, classic and opulent; and Portrait Vue, contemporary with a transitional flair. AICO/Amini will also be launching several new Distinctive Bedding designs, and the Lavelle collection will be shown in its second finish color, Blanc.

Other companies launching new products include Broyhill, SLF/Samuel Lawrence Furniture, Rowe, Flexsteel, Dale Tiffany Inc., Guildcraft Furniture, The Kush Furniture Company, Lexington Home Brands, Cyan Design, Lexington Home Brands, Kreiss, Brownstone and Paragon, among hundreds of others. David Francis Furniture is launching luxury furniture in the bedroom, case good, lounge seating and dining categories, while The Phillips Collection is expanding all collections, including the best-selling Seatbelt and Origins collections, as well as Creative Director Jason Phillips’ own personal label, Jason Phillips Design.

“Even in these tough times, it is imperative that we don’t sacrifice on design,” says Phillips. “Buyers can expect new ideas in wall decor, fashion colors and drop-dead-gorgeous displays.”

Robert Allen | Beacon Hill showroom manager Michael Smith says he is gearing up for another exhilarating influx of buyers from all over the country. “There is no better stage for a market than World Market Center in Las Vegas,” he says. “We’ll see buyers from all over the world who make this show a ‘must-attend’ on their calendar of events each year. And every Market here just keeps getting bigger and better.”

He notes that the showroom carries a full sampling of the luxurious and creatively constructed decorative fabrics from Robert Allen and Beacon Hill, as well as 10 top lines of home furnishing and accessories. A few highlights of upcoming collections include Swaim’s newest

contemporary sectional, with graceful curved arms lending understated elegance befitting formal or casually chic interiors. Guy Chaddock & Company debuts the perfectly proportioned Tufted Slipper Chair and English Country Teacart, and Ferguson-Copeland offers most elegant of storage options, the Villa Margarita Credenza and the Cortona Chest, among its new case goods.

Also to be seen for the first time at any market is the Modern Country collection from A.R.T. Furniture Inc. This collection is based on simple shapes inspired by American Shaker styling while incorporating modern qualities such as an aged bronzed hardware finish, streamlined design and a hip linen and straw finish. Buyers will find bedroom, dining room and occasional options in the Modern Country collection.

And in the health/motion furniture categories, Andrew Corkill, director of product management of Human Touch says buyers will find new targeted-relief products. One of the two products features patented Figure-Eight™ technology, which circulates blood from the feet toward the core of the body, allowing fresh nutrients to re-enter the calves and feet for greater healing and soothing comfort. The CirQlation™ “Pure” Foot Massager is a new product designed to give the feet a relaxing massage, while the CirQlation™ “Pro” Foot & Calf Massager uses the Figure-Eight™ technology and under-foot massage rollers that provide a reflexology massage to the sole and heal, refreshes and invigorates sore muscles and improves circulation in the feet and calves.

These are just a few of the many new treasures buyers will find at Las Vegas Market this fall. September Market promises buyers more brands and suppliers, more new products and lines, more choices than ever. Experience unequalled ease, affordability and inspiration — plus the industry’s brightest minds and best ideas to help buyers grow and profit in today’s economy.
