Home furnishings manufacturer Groovystuff announced the introduction of the Antares Lighting Collection crafted from branches and roots of reclaimed teak.

“It’s all about ambiance and shadowing,” said Groovystuff Vice President Chris Bruning.  “The teak branches are already beautiful.  We stack, bundle and layer the limbs, sculpting pieces that are earthy, ancient and modern all at the same time.”

The line celebrates the natural shapes, tones and textures found in reclaimed teak — limbs are assembled horizontally, planted vertically and even woven into spheres.  The Antares Collection includes pieces personally designed by Groovystuff co-founder and designer Chris Bruning and bears his unmistakable style and influence.  Chris’ vision renders each piece remarkable — whether straight, curved, solid, hollow, smooth or rough.  “We’ve created a beautiful line of lamps which complement the earthy look of our product line while working nicely with a more contemporary décor,” said Bruning.

The fourteen lamps in the new line include bleached and dark finishes.  Designs include styles with and without shades.

Groovystuff will debut the Antares Collection at the Dallas International Lighting Market January 14 – 18, 2010 in partnership with Bill Reiman & Associates at the Dallas World Trade Center, 10th Floor, - Showroom # 10014. Phone: 800.210.6341.
