Furniture First Buying Group announced that it has finalized plans for its Las Vegas Market General Membership Meeting, which will be held Monday, February 1, 2010 from 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. in World View, 16th Floor of Building B. The meeting will outline the membership Schedule of Events, welcome new members to the group, provide an update on Merchandising and Marketing vendors, programs and specials and introduce the membership to Jonathan Gaspari, Furniture First’s new Director of Mattresses. Guest speakers will include Bryan Edwards, Vice President of Sales for AspenHome; Sondra Newkirk, Meredith Corporation’s Senior Director of Brand Licensing for Better Homes and Gardens; and John McCloskey, technology and in-store consultant.
Furniture First staff will be available in the showroom, B-962, throughout the week to speak with current and prospective members. For current members, Furniture First Buying Group has arranged educational seminars on the brand power of the Better Homes and Gardens Mattress line and its projected impact on mattress sales. An Accessory Merchandising Workshop with Bill Carpenter, Vice President of Business Development, and Gary Simms, National Accounts Manager for IMAX Worldwide Imports, will focus on developing key strategies to help retailers grow their accessory and accent sales.
