Sligh Furniture announced that it will unveil the following Laredo desk and console introductions at the February 2010 Las Vegas Market.
Laredo
Emanating casual refinement thanks to classic European and American influences, the new Laredo leg desk (8050-1-LR) has sumptuous curves and scale. S-shaped scroll legs rest on an arching stretcher. The top is crafted from warm brown distressed leather adding to the Old World feeling and highlighting the umber hand-waxed finish. Mitered corners, antique pewter hardware and relaxed carvings complete the presentation.
The Laredo desk has three drawers, the center one includes a drop-down front creating a keyboard tray with an ergonomic palm rest.
Candlewood and Weathered Black Finishes
The popularity of smaller-scaled furnishings, whether for lofts, condominiums or homes, has given Sligh an entirely new dimension in which to showcase their outstanding quality and innovative thinking. From their successes in more moderately sized desks and accessories comes the new 8035 group in two finishes—Candlewood (8035-1-CA) and Weathered Black (8035-1-WB).
The 54”-wide pedestal desks include two letter/legal file drawers, two storage drawers, two pencil drawers and a fold-down center drawer with an ergonomic palm rest. The light cherry Candlewood finish offers a casual, relaxed styling; the Weathered Black is the more dramatic cousin with it’s rubbed finish and Candlewood cherry top. Both are perfectly suited for today’s comfortably furnished homes.
Laredo Lift-Top Television Console
The Laredo television console speaks to a relaxed, casual atmosphere, with its lovely veneer design and warm, aged finish. It measures 55”W x 20”D x 37”H, accommodating a television with dimensions of 33”W x 5”D x 23”H, and up to 130 lbs. The Laredo console can be used in any room—bedroom, family room, den or media room—with access to components and electronic technology from the front or the back. The console uses Sligh’s SmartEye® infrared technology and component access doors at the bottom of the front and back of the unit, so your customers can place their TV console against a wall or against the foot of a bed without sacrificing functionality.
