The International Casual Furnishings Association announced that it is seeking entries for the 2010 Design Excellence Awards – considered the highest recognition for new product design within the casual furnishings industry.
The deadline for submission of entry forms is Friday, June 25. Entry guidelines are available from Rhonda Craven, 336/884-5400, ext. 3, or rcraven@ICFAnet.org. Only ICFA members are eligible to enter the competition.
Entries are sought in 11 different categories, including cast metal furniture, complementary casual products, fabric, outdoor lighting products, outdoor rugs/carpeting/flooring, rattan/wicker/woven furniture, resin/fiberglass furniture, shade products, tubular materials furniture, wood casual furniture, and wrought iron/wrought aluminum furniture.
From among the category winners, the ICFA membership will select the Lillian B. Winchester Best of Show Award. All winners will be honored and the Best in Show Award announced at a new awards event on Wednesday, September 22, during the International Casual Furniture and Accessories Market in Chicago.
The judging for category winners will take place on Friday, September 10. ICFA members then will have the opportunity to view the category winners and vote online for the Best in Show award.
