DMCCF/ MFA Raises $10,000 To Help Families Fight Cancer At Recent Golf Outing

The New Jersey based Metropolitan Furnishings Association (MFA) announced that the Dean Michael Clarizio Cancer Foundation (DMCCF) in conjunction with the Metropolitan Furnishings Association of NJ, held a charity golf outing at the Knoll Country Club in Parsippany, NJ. On June 15th.

The event attracted 110 golfers and 40 additional guests attending dinner festivities. The event included a fund raising silent auction and tricky tray that raised funds to assit two families in their fight against cancer.

Chris Clarizio, brother to Dean Michael is the founder of the DMCCF and a professional  furniture industry member. Chris presented a $5000 check to Onedia Smith and a $5,000 check to Frank Abbate. Huffman-Koos Furniture added an additional donation of $750 to each family.

Al Granetz, Executive Director of MFA commented, "Unlike most charities that donate money to fight cancer, the DMCCF raises money to help families deal with with affects of cancer on their daily lives. The experience is truely moving."
