City of Hope Golf Tournament Honoring Lee Goodman of Jerome's Furniture Raises $500,000

Approximately 450 family, friends, colleagues and industry supporters gathered to honor the Navarra Family, founders, and Lee Goodman, chief executive officer, of Jerome’s Furniture in San Diego with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 19th annual West Coast Golf and Tennis Tournament and dinner. The award recognized the honorees for more than 50 years of service to the community, philanthropic contributions and business accomplishments. The event raised $500,000 for City of Hope, a leading research, treatment and education center for cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
 
In its 19-year history, the West Coast Golf and Tennis Tournament and dinner have raised more than $5 million for City of Hope. The National Home Furnishings Industry (NHFI) group was created more than 40 years ago by industry leaders who wanted to help fund the search for a cure for cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. It has grown to include representatives from all facets of the industry – retail, manufacturing and publishing. In its 45-year history, the group has raised over $43 million for City of Hope.
