Each Market, AmericasMart recognizes companies acquiring new permanent showrooms, expanding existing space or relocating to a new destination. Just days ago, at the July 2010 Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market and Atlanta International Area Rug Market, AmericasMart celebrated the opening and expansion of 84 showrooms—41 of which were brand new to Atlanta and the permanent showroom collection spanning the four-building campus—with ribbon cutting ceremonies for each new space.
Additionally, AmericasMart honored individual permanent showrooms and temporary booths for outstanding visual creativity, use of space, product placement, signage, flooring and lighting. Thirty-three permanent showrooms and 18 temporary booths—including one spectacular Best of Show booth—were rewarded AmericasMart’s coveted Visual Display Award. The Visual Display Award winners were selected by an independent panel of design and display experts with decades of combined industry experience. When reviewing the permanent showrooms and temporary booths, the judges focused on visual designs that showcased product in an artistic and eye-catching manner.
