Canadian manufacturer and long-time High Point Market exhibitor, Dutailier, announced it was moving its showroom from the Furniture Plaza back to the IHFC. The company's new space is located on the Fifth Floor of IHFC's Hamilton Wing, space H520.

Explaining the move, David Fontaine, Dutailier's Vice-President of Marketing and Customer Service, said, "Our look is more European and our new space at the IHFC puts us among other manufacturers whose look is similar to ours.  By showing in the IHFC, we expect to see many more buyers that we haven’t seen before.  I honestly do not think many of the buyers knew who we were.  Now they will."

The company has been around for almost 30 years, and built its reputation on high-quality glider rockers manufactured in its headquarters just outside Montreal.  The company continued its focus on gliders until 2003, when it purchased baby and juvenile case goods specialists, E.G. Furniture.  That acquisition broadened Dutailier's offering immediately, and the company grew on its ability to match the finishes of the case goods to the finishes of the gliders, to create unified nurseries and bedrooms.

The company's newest offerings, Fontaine said, are a new line of recliners.  "These new products are comfort recliners with a glide feature.  It is a unique action that is very comfortable, very relaxing. We offer this full collection in fabrics and leathers.

“The new product will be the focus of our Hamilton Wing showroom,” he continued.  "For this show we are targeting the action chair business; our recliners can be matched to any sofa in fabric or leather.  We expect to see many more retail buyers at the IHFC and we will delight them all."
