Revco International announced the expansion of their most recently released case goods collection: The Inspiration Collection. Greg O’Neal Vice President of Design + Marketing shares the news by stating: “Through careful planning and great retail partners, Revco, as a whole is experiencing high double digit sales growth. The Inspiration Collection is responsible for about 40% of the growth”.
Originally launched in October 2009, The Inspiration Collection came to market as Revco International’s initial launch of a high design case good collection that not only combined exclusive design details, quality and value, but also addressed the product needs of the retailer. In the spring of 2009, Revco International created the Product Development Partnership, which included a team of key account retail partners and prospective retail accounts, whose opinions, ideas and needs changed and impacted the overall design of The Inspiration Collection. O’Neal states “As the design director for Revco it was an awesome experience, creating furniture in a non-traditional manner, by formulating DESIGN literally around customer NEED. It personally provided me with a committed challenge to make sure that 100% of all of the participants in the PDP program were ultimately proud of the product that WE, together produced”.
The Inspiration Collections expected expansions at the upcoming October 2010 High Point Market, include: Hospitality Graded Upholstered Dining Chairs + Occasional Chairs, Slab/Glass Top Dining Tables, Bedroom, Bookcase, and Occasional additions. O’Neal further admits, “In challenging economies, rarely do you get to experience opportunities in which you get to celebrate successes. The expansion of The Inspiration Collection is Revco’s continued applause to all of the PDP partners who helped to make the collection exactly that, a success”.
