Bob Duncan Takes Helm At AHFA For 2011

Bob Duncan, CEO of American Leather, Dallas, was elected 2011 chairman of the American Home Furnishings Alliance during the organization’s Annual Meeting at the Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain in Scottsdale, Ariz., November 11-14.

Jeff Cook, president of Broyhill Furniture, Lenoir, N.C., has moved to first vice chairman. Wyatt Bassett, president/CEO of Vaughan-Bassett Furniture, Galax, Va., was elected second vice chairman.

John Bray, CEO of Vanguard Furniture, Hickory, N.C., has moved to immediate past-chairman of the AHFA Board of Directors. The officers assume their new posts January 1, 2011.

Members newly elected to serve three-year terms on the AHFA Board of Directors include:  Joe Johnston, Johnston Casuals; Bill Wittenberg, Klaussner; Kevin O’Conner, Samson Marketing; Steve Lehman, Smith Brothers of Berne; and Harvey Hollingsworth, The Natural Light.

The American Home Furnishings Alliance, based in High Point, N.C., is the largest association of home furnishings companies in the world and represents more than 200 leading furniture manufacturers and distributors, plus about 150 suppliers to the furniture industry worldwide.
