World Market Center Las Vegas announced that following a successful launch last Summer, Vegas KidsSM will return to Las Vegas Market, January 24-28, and will showcase the latest offerings in juvenile furnishings and accessories. Building upon World Market Center’s roster of 100-plus youth furnishings and décor manufacturers in permanent showrooms, the Vegas Kids showcase will be located on the fourth floor of Building C and brings together more unique youth resources as well as educational sessions designed to drive new sales.

Gearing up for the Vegas Kids showcase on the fourth floor of Building C will be temporary exhibitors Ark Group, Atlantic, Bolton, Maxwood/Matrix Kids, Stork Craft, Styro Stuff and more.

To help attendees profit from this category, Heather B. Armstrong—acknowledged to be the most popular “mommyblogger” in the world— will share with retailers and designers how to cater to the juvenile demographic as well as the influential role social media plays in purchasing and decision making. Armstrong has more than 1.5 million followers on Twitter and was recently named by Forbes Magazine as one of the 30 most influential women in media, and Time Magazine has twice listed her website as one of the 25 best blogs in the world. Armstrong is the author of the 2009 New York Times bestselling book, “It Sucked and Then I Cried: How I Had a Baby, a Breakdown, and a Much Needed Margarita.”  Armstrong’s entertaining presentation will take place on Monday, Jan. 24 at 10 a.m. in Building C, Room 324.

“Juvenile continues to be a hot market for retailers and we are pleased to offer it once again as a destination at Las Vegas Market, along with relevant programming that helps retailers uncover new ways to market to this sector,” said World Market Center Las Vegas President and CEO Robert Maricich. “For buyers who like to shop the market by category, Vegas Kids on C-4 is an efficient way to see what’s new in baby and youth lines. At the same time, many of our larger permanent showrooms have equally compelling juvenile product presentations that are not-to-be-missed during market week.”

In addition, HGTV’s Monica Pedersen and home products/trends editor Julie Smith Vincenti will offer a tantalizing overview of the finest new products being featured at January’s Market and will devote a portion of the presentation to what’s new in the profitable juvenile category. Attendees can experience fast-paced visuals that present new looks in top-performing categories, which aims to maximize retailers’ buy-time during the Las Vegas Market. First Look takes place on Monday, Jan. 24 at 9 a.m. in Building B’s World Forum, located on the 16th floor.

Vegas Kids at Las Vegas Market will be held January 24-28, 2011, accompanied by Gift+HomeSM. Attendees can register for January Market and book discounted rooms online as low as $44 at www.VegasKidslv.com. A complete list of juvenile exhibitors at Las Vegas Market can also be found on-line.
